Buthidaung, Arakan State: Natala villagers’ or model villagers have adopted new tactics to harass Arakanese Rohingya villagers in Buthidaung Township north Arakan, according to village elder on condition of anonymity.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) seized 316 Yaba tablets from border area on January 26 and arrested a Bangladeshi involved in smuggling, said a trader in Teknaf.

Buthidaung, Arakan State: The Township Peace and Development Council (TPDC) members of Buthidaung Township on the orders of Maungdaw District Peace and Development Council (DPDC)  confiscated about 700 acres of farmland from Arakanese Rohingya farmers of Nyaung Chaung Village Tract of Buthidaung township  for settling Natala (model) villages from January third week, said a land owner of the locality.

  A patient was assaulted by a staff nurse in Maungdaw general hospital on January 25, a local from Maungdaw said.
