Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) arrested a villager on August 27, for allegedly using a Bangladeshi mobile phone without permission, said a close relative of the victim.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Two Burmese nationals were arrested with 350 boxes of Bangladeshi medicine and Burmese goods by Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) of Battalion No. 42 of Teknaf on August 28 while it was being smuggled to Burma, sources said.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: A religious leader was robbed in Maungdaw Township by Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) while visiting his relative on a motorcycle on August 20, said a close relative of the victim.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: A famous religious leader was arrested by Burma’s border security force Nasaka on April 25, on the allegation that he has a Bangladeshi mobile phone, said a close relative on condition of anonymity.

Maungdaw,  Arakan State: United Nations Development  Program ( UNDP) members of Maungdaw north have been cheating  villagers since June 14, after promising  they will provide money  to them to remove sand and stones from arable lands destroyed in the floods, said a local  former village Chairman.
