Teknaf, Bangladesh: Over 25 dead bodies of Rohingya have been recovered from the Naff river by the Bangladesh Coastguards and police since October 8, who drowned after their boat capsized in the entry point of Shapuridip, Kamal Uddin from Shappuri Dip said.

The bodies of two children and five women were found between Tuesday morning and the afternoon, the Office-in-Charge Md. Moinuddin Khan Teknaf Police Station said.
 
The Office-in-Charge also said, “We have recovered 25 bodies from the boat that sank at the Naf River’s Golarchar Point of Shapuri Dip at 10:00 pm on September 8, at night. Police continued search for more bodies.”
 
From August 29 to October 8, 2017, nearly 25 boats along with over 150 people including children and women sank in the Naff river while trying to enter Bangladesh, said a local member Ahmed Hussin from Teknaf said.
 
The bodies of several Rohingyas have washed up on Bangladesh’s shores since the start of violence against the Rohingya in Arakan State, Burma, Ahmed Hussin more added.
