Maungdaw, Arakan State: Diarrhea and dysentery have broken out in Mizi Taung village of Maung Nama village tract, Maungdaw Township. Two patients have died and many others are suffering from diseases since August 24, said a village elder whose son is suffering from diarrhea and typhoid.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Police personnel belonging to the San Say Pyin police station in Bawli Bazaar outpost of Maungdaw Township have been harassing Rohingya villagers. The police arrested three villagers from their homes on false cases and extorted money on August 22, said a local trader on condition of anonymity.

Chittagong Bangladesh:  Eleven Burmese nationals are languishing in prison after finishing their term in Ragamati jail, in Bangladesh because the Burmese junta did not receive them. They are called "released prisoners" in Bangladesh, according to a person who was released recently.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Nasaka Burma's border security force has been heavily taxing goods during loading at the jetty built by Nasaka on the Purma River flowing to Naff River across Bawli Bazaar market in Maungdaw Township, said a local trader on condition of anonymity.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: An official Rohingya refugee was severely beaten up by some local goons on August 22, when he was going to Leda makeshift camp from Nayapara camp  to visit  his relatives at about 4 pm, said a relative of the victim.
