Maungdaw, Arakan State: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has provided utensils to the victims of a fire at Kular Bill village under Maungdaw Township, on March 17, a village elder said.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: The Township Peace and Development Council (TPDC) Chairman of Taungbro sub-town under Maungdaw Township, on March 18, ordered a rice mill owner to shut down his mill, which is located at Balu Khali village, a close relative of the mill owner said.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Two women were arrested by the Bangladesh Police with 1,500 Yaba tablets worth Taka 750,000 last evening, while they were ready to go to Cox’s Bazaar from Teknaf in a mini-bus, our correspondent reports.

Bandarban, Bangladesh: Three Burma’s army personnel and another two spies were arrested in separate drives by Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and members of Ansar-VDP (Village Defense People) from bordering Thansi and Naikhongchari upazilas of Bandarban district yesterday, said a source close to BDR from Naikhonchari.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Maungdaw Town Peace and Development Council (TPDC) Chairman has ordered paddy farmers to destroy their temporary field huts, built on a hill near their paddy field on March 13, a farmer from the locality said.
