Maungdaw, Arakan State: Released prisoners from Buthidaung jail were barred from their family list. Their lists were canceled from family list by concerned authority while they were languishing in Buthidaung Jail, said one of the released prisoners on condition of anonymity.

Sittwe, Arakan State: The Chief of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Antonio Guterres on an official visit to Burma to discuss with the Burmese authorities on the issue of Rohingya boatpeople. The Chief visited Arakan State on March 10, in the afternoon, according to a businessman from Sittwe.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: World Food program (WFP) has been repairing roads in Maungdaw Township since last week with the cooperation of villagers. Maungdaw, Arakan State: The Deputy Home Minister Brig-General Phone Swe has ordered Nasaka Commanders to reduce the population of Rohingya community by 75 percent to 25 percent on the Burma-Bangladesh border areas when the minister visited Taugbro Sub-town of Maungdaw Township on February 22, said a close Nasaka aide on condition of anonymity.
