Mayungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka), yesterday invited  a tender for ferryboat service  of the Shwezaar ferry, which plies from Burma to Bangladesh by crossing the Naff River, demarcating the two countries, said a village elder on condition of anonymity.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) demolished 11 shops owned by Rohingya people yesterday in Maungdaw Township alleging that it was built on arable land, said a close relative of one of the shop owners, who declined to be named.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: The police from Maungdaw Town have resumed looting money from Rohingya villagers going to Maungdaw town from the villages, said a shopkeeper in the town on condition of anonymity.

Ukhiya, Bangladesh: Bangladesh police on duty in Burmese refugee camps seized some equipment from the Kutupalang official camp for printing fake currency notes of the denomination of 500.  They also arrested three men on suspicion, said a refugee leader from the camp.

Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh: Sixty Burmese refugees from Nayapara and Kutupalong camps in Bangladesh will go to a third country soon as part of a resettlement programme, said a refugee leader from Nayapara camp.
