Buthidaung, Arakan State: Rohingyas are being allowed to go to Sittwe (Akyab), the capital of Arakan State and other towns since the beginning of this year after paying money to the concerned authorities, said a trader from Buthidaung Town.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) is fleecing villagers of Maungdaw Township on false accusations. Recently, they extorted money from two villagers and one student, said a trader in Maungdaw town.

Naikhonchari, Bandarban: A flag meeting was held between Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Nasaka (Burma’s border security force) on November 5 on border issues, said an aide of the BDR from Lemusari area of Bandarban district.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) Director Lt. Col Aung Gyi ordered villagers in Maungdaw north on November 1, to renovate the road, connecting Maungdaw town to Nasaka headquarters, said a Nasaka aide from the area.
