Teknaf, Bangladesh: Three boats loaded with fish and one with timber arrived from Burma at the Border Trade Port of Teknaf, Bangladesh on April 15, reports our correspondent.

The ship “Ngawe Taung Yan # 065 ” brought 85,000 visses of fish. “Nga Oo Zii # 26 ” brought 100,000 visses and U Kyaw Khine Pru #(203) arrived with 65,000 visses. One viss is approximately equal to 1.63 kilograms.

The name of the boat that arrived with 15 tons of timber is not known. Since the boat with timber did not come into Bangladesh legally, it left the port soon after unloading.

The fish include Giant Sea Perch, Hilsa, Salmon and Butter fish.

The boats which came with fish are still at Teknaf Port and are being unloaded as there are inadequate cranes for unloading.

The fish was imported by M/s. Marsud and Brothers Ltd of Bangladesh.
