Bandarban, Bangladesh: An Army Field intelligence Unit, or FIU arrested an Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) member from Uzani Para in Bandarban district on January 29.

The ALP member Maung Tun Oo was arrested as he was involved in anti social activities for two years. He fled to Bangladesh from Arakan State two years ago, according to the official.

After crossing the Burma–Bangladesh border, he joined the ALP led by Saw Mya Aung.

But the army intelligence did not get any documents from him. He lives in Aungkarbari Para under Tansi upazila in Bandarban district, Bangladesh.

He is now under investigation by the authorities, said a local.
