Teknaf, Bangladesh: Bangladesh has earned Taka 11,164,715 as revenue by exporting goods to Burma in March 2008, through the Teknaf Land Port, according to sources.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Local military junta authorities in Maungdaw Township , Arakan State are ordering Rohingya girls over 18 to support the new constitutional referendum in May. The directive comes with threats not to cast a 'no' vote, said a local schoolteacher.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Two Maulanas, belonging to Maungdaw Township were arrested by Nasaka , Burma 's border security force on April 4 on charges that they were involved in anti-government activities and have links with exiled rebel groups, a source close to Nasaka said.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Police officer Sub-inspector (SI) Masood Uddin Chowdhury of Teknaf police station filed cases against 50 to 60 Rohingyas yesterday in connection with the violence in Nayapara refugee camp, said a source close to the police.
