Teknaf, Bangladesh: Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), the country's border security force seized Burmese salt and birth control pills on the Burma- Bangladesh border areas on May 15, said our correspondent.

Cox's Bazaar , Bangladesh : The Chairman Sayadaw U May Gyi Ya of the World Buddhist Religious Regency (WBRR) of Bangladesh branch organized and held a special prayer at Cox's Bazaar Tawra Monastery in Bangladesh on May 15, for the dead and missing people in cyclone Nargis which hit Burma in May 2 and 3, according to a prayer participant.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: A Burmese refugee boy was killed and another was injured in a thunderbolt on May 14 at around 4:30 pm while returning to their makeshift camp after finishing their work, said a relative of the victim.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: A Burmese refugee girl was critically injured in a car accident on May 13 while another was seriously injured after being hit by a motor cycle on May 10. The two girls were playing by the roadside.

Sittwe, Arakan State: The Western Command Commander had cautioned the authorities of 17 Townships in Arakan State on May 14 about a cyclone that was moving slowly towards Arakan State from the Kapali Sea. He said preparation for the approaching cyclone needs to be made, according to an official source.
