Maungdaw :  The ruling junta threw open polling stations at 6 am and the Nasaka Burma Border Security Force, personnel surveyed their respected areas and ordered the head of the family members to go to the booths and cast  the "Yes" vote, said a local from Maungdaw.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: A Rohingya girl was raped by two Bengali rickshaw pullers at about 7:00 pm, on May 7, when she was going to Dum Dum Meah makeshift camp (Tal) to visit her elder brother after crossing the Burma-Bangladesh border, said a Maje ( shed leader) of the camp.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  A Natala villager of Loung Don village tract in Maungdaw Township stabbed a Rohingya villager on his way home from the market at about 7 pm on May 5.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Nasaka , Burma 's border security force, Headquarters in Gyikan Pyin (Kawarbill) in Maungdaw Township donated money to four Madrasas in Maungdaw north yesterday to cast the "yes" vote in the forthcoming constitutional referendum, said a local leader who declined to be named.

Maungdaw: A cyclone, heavy rain and wind lashed northern Arakan, destroying roads, telecommunication poles, uprooted trees and damaged houses on May 5, at about 11:00 pm, said a Village Peace and Development Council, or VPDC Chairman of Maungdaw.
