Teknaf, Bangladesh:  A trawler carrying 530 sacks of urea fertilizer sank in the Bay of Bengal on September 8, while on its way to Burma, according to a fisherman from Shapuri Dip.

Gwa, Arakan State: The Burmese military junta is going to use prison labourers including political prisoners from Sandoway jail and Ann jail to repair the Sandoway-Gwa highway from pillar number 51 to 55, according to official source.

Sittwe, Arakan state: Since September 4, security has been beefed up across the country, as the Burmese military junta has information that some insurgent groups had entered the country.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: The Western command Commander Major general Taung Aye arrived in Maungdaw at about 4:30 pm on September 6, and held a meeting at the Thri Mingla Hall of Maungdaw Town from 5 pm to 6 pm. He had invited local government officers, said a Village Peace and Development Council Chairman on condition of anonymity.
