Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh: Bangladesh's Communication Minister Sayed Abul Hossain visited the Bangladesh-Burma border accompanied by Chinese Ambassador Zheng Qing Dian, Burmese ambassador to Bangladesh and senior officials of the Bangladesh Railway (BR) on February 7, at about 1:30 pm, said a close aide of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR).

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Burma's border security force (Nasaka) Sector Commander No.7 of Maungdaw Township floated a tender for a river to villagers at kyat 7 million for six months on January 20, said a local schoolteacher on condition of anonymity.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: Nasaka Burma's border security force arrested a Rohingya youth on February 8, for cutting wood from the forest without permission from the concerned authorities, a close relative of the victim said on condition of anonymity.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  A woman was humiliated by Nasaka in front of villagers on February 8 while its personnel were checking family lists and photographs of villagers at Maungdaw Township, said a close relative of the victim on condition of anonymity.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) have arrested 26 Burmese nationals (mostly from the Rohingya community), from the Bangladesh-Burma border on February 8. They were pushed back later, after investigations revealed that they were infiltrating into Bangladesh, through the transit point of Shahpuri Dip under Teknaf upazila, a source from the border said.
